The hotel in space is about to become a reality
"Voyager" - the first hotel in space is expected to welcome guests in 2027, with a capacity of up to 400 people.
Station “Voyager” provides accommodation services for tourists and professionals.
The hotel is located in the "Voyager" station - a project being developed by the Gateway Foundation (USA). The station will provide accommodation, dining, relaxation and work services, including wellness spas, cinemas and bars. The "Voyager" station will complete one orbit around the Earth in 90 minutes.
“Voyager” has a circular shape, consisting of 3 rings with different functions. The inner ring is where the spaceship takes tourists to dock, then moves along the pressurized pipelines, connecting to the inner rings. It is expected that the station will have 2 gates to dock two ships at the same time. The next ring (Outer Ring Truss) is the backbone of the entire station, with solar cells, radiators, transportation systems, and pipes that allow people to move around freely.
The residence area is called "The Habitation Ring".
Voyager station accommodation area is named "The Habitation Ring", including items such as kitchen, restaurant, bar, private accommodation for commercial guests and government-owned accommodation for serving scientific research, training... Each compartment can be more than 200m2, including many rooms for experts and tourists to work and live.
The design of the rooms at the "Voyager" station will be in a minimalist style, with rounded beveled windows.
This groundbreaking project will be built by Orbital Assembly – a company specializing in construction in space. The company will develop the STAR robot to assemble the Voyager station, which is expected to start in 2025 and put into operation from 2027.
