The British royal family opens the palace door to welcome visitors
In the context of the difficult tourism industry, the British Royal Family must also find new ways to attract visitors for the post-Covid-19 era. Previously, Royal destinations accounted for 12.5% of the UK's tourism industry.
The Queen has just announced that this summer the Royal Family will open to the public an area of approximately 15.7 hectares (39 acres).
Restrictive regulations have prevented Buckingham Palace's summer opening event for the second year in a row. Visitors will be allowed to visit in the form of self-sufficiency, from July 9 to September 19, 2021. The tour will pass through a number of gardens, long an exclusion zone, reserved only for parties and musical events.

The gardens in Buckingham Palace are likened to a "green oasis" in the heart of London, with a rich ecosystem. It is home to more than 1,000 plants, including a 400-year-old Mulberry tree, dating from the time of King James I. In spring, flowers bloom in the gardens, like golden primroses, red camellia, white magnolia…
A 19th-century lake is also a tourist attraction, connecting with the Serpentine Lake in nearby Hyde Park. Visitors can go to the vast green lawns, overlooking the lake garden and meadow full of wildflowers. These lawns allow picnic activities, gatherings; However, alcoholic beverages, ball games and barbecues are prohibited.
